PRESS: Saudia to launch regular flights to Moscow from 2023
MOSCOW, Apr 21 (PRIME) -- Saudia air company, formerly known as Saudi Arabian Airlines, is ready to launch regular flights to and from Moscow from 2023, Vedomosti newspaper reported on Friday citing a source close to the negotiations.
“Saudi Arabia’s flagship air carrier Saudia… intends to launch direct regular flights from Jiddah to Moscow. Debut flights are planned for the beginning of the touristic season in Southeast Asia. At the first stage, the company will perform two or three flights a week,” the daily reported.
A source with “one of Moscow’s large airports” confirmed the plans of the company and added that Saudia is in talks with the Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports.
Presently there is no direct regular air connection between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
